Description

Indications
Cattle, sheep and poultry: A sulfa antibacterial agent used to treat respiratory and urinary tract infections caused by sensitive bacteria.

Administration and Dosage
Administer by oral route:
Cattle and sheep: 1ml per 7-9kg body weight, use twice a day for 3-5 days.
Poultry: 1ml/L of drinking water for 3-5 days.

Adverse Reactions
The main manifestations are acute reactions such as anaphylaxis, chronic reactions are granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, liver damage, kidney damage and central nervous toxicity.

Precautions
1.Is prohibited for sick animals with a history of allergy to sulfonamides.
2.Is easy to precipitate crystals in the urinary tract, and a lot of drinking water should be given to the affected animal. The same amount of sodium bicarbonate should be given at the same time when large doses and long-term applications are appropriate.
3.When renal function is impaired, excretion is slow and should be used with caution.
4.Can cause intestinal flora imbalance, long-term drug use can cause B vitamins and vitamin K synthesis and absorption reduction, it is appropriate to supplement the corresponding vitamins.
5.In the case of allergic reactions in livestock, immediately stop the drug and give symptomatic treatment.
6.Trimethoprim and sulfanilamide should not be used in horses with liver parenchymal damage.
